Live Event Painting


Live event painting is a great way to preserve your special day and provides a great opportunity to entertain guests throughout any event! During this captivating live demonstration, the artist uniquely captures a scene from the event, creating a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that can be admired for years to come. The finished product requires an estimated 6-8 hours of care & affection from the artist, which allows plenty of time for guests to watch the piece come together; photos and videos are also welcomed.*

What is Included?

You will receive a complimentary virtual or in-person coffee date with me sometime before the wedding. This allows us to talk through the details of the painting and process, and we can ensure that your vision is captured.

I will arrive to your event early, set up my canvas, easel and supplies, and start painting the scene before guests arrive. This entire process will take several hours (around 6 hours) to fully capture the details and feeling of the event. If you select a ceremony scene for your painting, I will start at the ceremony and finish at the reception. This allows time for guests to interact with me and watch the painting unfold. This is a great way to preserve and remember your special day and to provide a creative way to entertain guests throughout the day! It is captivating to watch an artist complete an entire painting in just a matter of hours. At the end of the day, you’ll walk away with a beautiful and one-of-a-kind family heirloom to enjoy. Due to the time constraint, paintings are not heavily detailed. Please see examples in the gallery below.**

*The final painting can be made into prints or stationary as “thank you” notes for an additional fee.

**Additional changes or additions, post performance, are not included in the final painting. The client has the option for me to take the painting back to my studio in Kalamazoo, Michigan, after the wedding, to continue refining details. However, there is an additional hourly charge and shipping costs associated.

Additional Information

To book, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the package is required and the other half is due the day of your event before I begin. I accept checks or credit. Please note: if paying with a credit/debit card, there is a 2.9% processing fee added.

I will require a vendor meal for any of the packages the day of the event.

The first 20 miles of travel are free, after that there is a fee of $1 per mile (I reside in Kalamazoo, Michigan). 

Events outside of a 200 mile radius requires special accomodations at the discretion of the Artist at time of booking. 

In the event of a cancellation by the Artist (myself), the full deposit will be returned to you withing seven business days of the notice of cancellation. In the event of a cancellation by the Client, the Artist will retain the deposit, which is 30% of the total amount, and may be used by the Client towards another artwork by the Artist.

All business activity is at the discretion of the Artist.

Post-Wedding Paintings

Are you like me and WISH you would have hired a wedding painter on your special day? If I would have thought or even known that was a thing, I TOTALLY would have done it.

I also offer post-wedding or other post-event paintings. This could be a scene captured by your photographer such as your ceremony, first dance, cake cutting, etc.

Additionally, if you are interested in a more specific painting of your wedding or event details, I could create a wedding bouquet painting, cake painting, etc.

I will need written permission from your photographer in order to reference their photo.
